With Barbershop: The Next Cut landing in theaters this Friday (April 15), the star-studded cast has been promoting the franchise’s third installment in a variety of ways.
First, co-stars Ice Cube (who takes the lead as Calvin) and Common (who plays Eve’s spouse and barber Rashad) stormed the Tonight Show stage with a funky rendition of the film’s soundtrack cut “Real People” with some help from resident band The Roots. After recently deading their ’90s beef, the track finds Cube and Comm the best of chums where the latter spits, “It’s a good day when it’s me and O’Shea/ It’s like the times we cheered for O.J/ I say “Mike,” Cube say “Kobe”/ But ain’t no more beef, I put that on chief.”
Cube also swung by E! News HQ alongside fellow Barbershop stars Anthony Anderson (who also plays Dre Johnson on ABC’s hit show Black-ish), Regina Hall, Eve, Common and Lemorne Harris for an impromptu style appointment with dolls. Watch the crew get to snipping and braiding below.
