Happy Birthday, Blue Ivy Carter!
The (already quite famous) daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z turns 3 today. While she’s still just a toddler, she’s also a world traveler, accompanying her parents on many of their trips; a media star, as evidenced by her buzzy, adorable-as-heck appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards this past August; and, of course, a budding talent in her own right (check that cameo in mom’s recent “7/11” video).
Below are five sweet moments from her last year (all courtesy of Beyonce’s social media accounts).
1. “7/11” Music Video Cameo
This video was already a success because Beyonce decided to be goofy — never forget she pretended her foot was a telephone. But add in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo (58 seconds in) from Blue and now the whole thing is a fun family affair.
2. Solange’s Wedding
When Solange got married last fall, Beyonce’s couldn’t resist sharing a sweet pic of her daughter congratulating the bride and groom.
3. Halloween
Well, this was just the cutest thing ever. At a party for Halloween, Beyonce and Blue dressed up as Janet and Michael Jackson. Check that costume — note the one perfect glove! It’s no surprise Blue (with some help from Bey) clearly inherited her mom’s perfectionist streak.
4. Beach Bum
“My favorite hue is JayZ Blue,” Beyonce captioned this pic of the family on vacation. Clearly, baby Blue’s style game is also on point. Would fans expect anything less, considering her parents?
5. “Go Mommy!”
After Beyonce’s incredible VMA performance, Jay Z brought Blue out on stage to present Bey with her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award — and Blue couldn’t resist adorably adding her congrats into the mix. “Go Mommy!” she exclaimed while clapping. The cuteness continued backstage, when she recapped her mom’s performance, “Everybody say good job!”
Is this the year she joins one of her parents on stage? Fingers crossed.
