French Montana won’t be serving up MC4 (a.k.a. Mac & Cheese 4), his forthcoming studio effort via Epic Records, on Aug. 19 as planned.
In a series of tweets, the rapper revealed some setbacks causing the album’s delay. “Due to some sample clearances that are still being worked out, I have to move the album release date,” wrote French. “I want to apologize to my fans that are waiting, I want to make sure the album is something special.”

The album’s tracklist reads like a VIP list of hip-hop’s elite including collaborations with Kanye West and Nas (“Figure It Out”), Drake (“No Shopping”), A$AP Rocky (“Said N Done”) and Jeezy (“Everytime”). Other features include the incarcerated Max B, the late Coke Boy affiliate Chinx as well as Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss, Styles P, Miguel and Kodak Black. MC4 is expected to drop Oct. 14, 2016.
