Just two days after unleashing his latest single with “Slide,” French Montana returned to drop the track’s visual on Thursday (April 18), recruiting Lil Tjay and Blueface to dress up in colorful suits and rock different oversized skull masks.
The crew dances around an abandoned warehouse in South Central Los Angeles, while the video — which Montana co-directed alongside Spiff TV — looks to be inspired by Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos holiday with all of the vibrant imagery, smoke, and masks spooking the audience. French even incorporates some product placement into the flick by breaking out his phone and getting on the viral TikTok app.
Blueface ultimately steals the show hitting his signature Crip Walk in a baggy blue suit. “Reach for my piece like openin’ your eyes in Bird Box/ Gunshots/ Start a track meet/ 40 clack like some sandals when it’s slide feet,” he raps.
With “No Stylist” going platinum and “Slide” looking to do some damage on the charts, Montana says he’s putting the finishing touches on his new album. “I’m about like 96 percent done. It’s just the technical difficulties that come with it. It’s just samples,” he told Zane Lowe of Beats 1. “This album right here is my best work up to date.”
