What’s the deal with Google Glass? Is it too wonky for the public? Suspiciously addicting? The wave of the future?
FKA Twigs’ mesmerizing 2014 debut certainly sounds like a sexy, stylish future, so for the folks at Google, bringing the singer/dancer/artist on for an ad was a smooth move. In a new two-minute commercial video for Google Glass — titled #throughglass — Twigs moves, dances and contorts with the device on, looking far cooler than any of us could ever hope to.
Oh yeah, Twigs directed the video, too. Reads the description, “Twigs uses Glass to call upon references and inspirations as well as incorporating the device into the actual filming.”
FKA Twigs Is a Woman of Mystery — And She Likes It That Way
By the way, that’s “Video Girl” from Twigs’ debut album, LP1, playing in the background. Expect to hear a lot more about that album when year-end “Best Of” lists start to arrive. It’s bound to be one of 2014’s top critical favorites.
