After flaunting his stacks in his latest video “Island On My Chain,” Fetty Wap may soon have to cough up some real-life dollars after a former member of his Remy Boyz collective, P-Dice, has sued the rapper over the 2015 Hot 100 top-five hit “679” — where Monty’s verse on the official track replaced P-Dice’s original.
Fetty Wap had initially planned to give P-Dice 16.9% of the “679” profits, but despite P-Dice appearing in the track’s video, the Remy Boy’s share was reduced to a mere 5% after Fetty scrapped the verse all together on the album’s version, TMZ reports. P-Dice is suing his former affiliate for $7 million.
This isn’t Fetty’s first time being sued. Back in September, TMZ also reported that Danish producer Lazar Lakic filed a lawsuit against the New Jersey MC for allegedly using the beat of his ubiquitous hit “Trap Queen” (which the producer initially named “Hello”) without Lakic’s consent.
