Alicia Keys is a fierce force within the music industry — and the perfect Impact Award honoree at Billboard‘s Women in Music event Thursday night (Dec. 12) at LA’s Hollywood Palladium (watch live here).
The path she’s paved for fellow female artists includes co-founding the nonprofit organization She Is the Music and recording empowering anthems like the Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 hit “A Woman’s Worth” and No. 11 blazing earworm “Girl on Fire,” both from her Billboard 200 No. 1 albums Songs in A Minor and Girl on Fire, respectively.
She’s had three more No. 1 albums since 2003: The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003), Unplugged (2005) and As I Am (2007).
