Besides being a punchline-specialist, Fabolous is also a pretty solid basketball player. For his new video “Flipmode,” he, Chris Brown and Velous remixed the famous 2001 Nike “Free Style” basketball commercial with a star-studded cast featuring DJ Khaled, Blake Griffin, T.I. and more.
The Busta Rhymes-inspired record finds all three stars dropping a myriad of basketball references and showcasing some of their best dribble moves. With his verse soaked in Auto-Tune, the Streets Dreams MC fires a slew of steely bars, all while paying homage to Steph Curry. “All the homies got a 30 up/ My warriors gotta Curry up/ Somethin’ foreign when I’m skurtin’ up (skrrt)/ If they comin’, better hurry up (skrrt),” raps Loso.
As far as the starry line-up is concerned, DJ Khaled flexes his dancing moves, while Draya and Lala Anthony stand pretty when the cameras locked in on them. As for Brown, the multi-faceted star demonstrates his dancing prowess, dribbling skills and singing abilities all at once.
