Five years after the release of From the Hut, to the Projects, to the Mansion, Wyclef Jean preps his seventh studio album, Clefication.
Wyclef has been hiding away in a Stockholm-based studio with Ash Pournouri, founder of At Night Management and manager to Avicii. Pournouri is co-executive producing the album with Wyclef. “I was ‘Gone in November’ of 2013, in search of my next musical chapter. So, with my acoustic guitar, I headed to Stockholm where once again I found my voice,” he told Billboard.
The first single, “Divine Sorrow,” from the Spring 2015 full-length effort, will feature Avicii. The single is due later this year.
Wyclef and Avicii performed the song for the first time on Sunday, Aug. 24, in Ushuaia Ibiza, Spain.

The two artists have collaborated in the past. Besides working on Avicii’s follow-up to True, Wyclef Jean, Avicii, Alexandre Pires and Carlos Santana teamed up earlier this year for the World Cup closing anthem, “Dar um Jeito(We Will Find A Way).”
