In February Erykah Badu sparked a new beef with Azalea Banks when the neo soul singer suggested she didn’t care for the Harlem rapper’s music. After things erupted on Twitter, as they have a history of doing with Banks on Twitter, the two have made up.

The new exchange started Tuesday (April 12) when Banks responded to a comment on Twitter suggesting she and Badu should become best friends, calling them the “misunderstood queens” — as they’re often finding controversy with their statements. She said this is exactly why they don’t get along.

Badu responded later, praising Banks for her advocacy and apologized for what she said.

From there, the love fest was full force, with Banks accepting the apology and then explaining her own personal relationship with Badu’s music and why she was so affected by the singer’s statement.
