Nearly a month after the track’s release, Ed Sheeran unloads a video for his unlikely Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock-assisted collaboration “Cross Me.” Sheeran called on Ryan Staake to direct the clip, which is filled with 3-D animations in a virtual reality.
The three artists’ appearances for the video only come in the animated form. Ed dances around and has his heart literally beating out of his chest at one point in the clip. Chance then finds himself as a Mortal Kombat fighter, but the scene quickly switches to him sliding into homeplate on the baseball diamond.
“Cross Me” is the second single from Sheeran’s anticipated No. 6 Collaborations Project. The effort is peppered with unique pairings from a range of genres throughout. Look for cameos from Khalid, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Meek Mill, Stormzy, Travis Scott, 50 Cent, Eminem, Ella Mai, H.E.R. and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
