Earl Sweatshirt has a different story to tell on his new offering “Balance” featuring musician Knxwledge.
Over a melodic backdrop, the 22-year-old rapper waxes poetic about heart-to-hearts with mom and offers this sobering thought: “And I’m prolly the worst n—a to get involved with/ These shoulders is not for you to sniffle on.”
The emotional bars are on-brand for emo Earl (born Thebe Kgositsile), whose 2015 effort was poignantly titled I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard 200.
“Balance” serves as another Adult Swim Single and follows Sweatshirt’s previous releases “Pelicula,” “Wind in My Sails,” “Skrt Skrt” and “bary.”
