Drake’s new album may be called “Nothing Was the Same,” but he’s confident one thing’s permanent.
New single “Wu-Tang Forever” pays titular tribute to the long-lived New York rap crew, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of its debut album this year. Lyrically, he’s got other things on his mind: “I just love when I’m with you,” he raps over the spare beat, which samples the Clan’s 1997 track “It’s Yourz.”
The track drew both praise and criticism on Twitter in the hours after its release, with some calling him out for his use of the Wu name.

“A lot of listeners are kind of confused,” blogger Miss Info added.
The MC’s “Nothing Was the Same” is due Sept. 24 and will feature Jay Z and Detail, among other expected guests.
