Drake took some shots and revealed two new tracks will land next week in an interview with East Village Radio.
Speaking to Elliott Wilson on the “Keep It Thoro” show, the rapper addressed his relationship with Rihanna and his tension with Chris Brown, which appeared to culminate in a bottle-throwing incident at New York club W.i.P. last June.
“His insecurities are the reason I make better music than him,” Drake said. “At one point the woman he loves fell into my lap and I did what a real n**** would do and treated her with respect.”
Drake touched on the love triangle in recent single “5AM in Toronto” (“Where you think she at when she ain’t with ya,” he raps on the track). On Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported that Patrick Strickland, Brown’s bodyguard, is suing both Drake and W.i.P. over his injuries. He claims the altercation after Drake sent Brown a note stating “I’m f***ing the love of your life.”

After Drake’s new interview aired on Friday, Brown tweeted, “Lol.”
In music news, Drake will release more new material next week ahead of the upcoming release of “Nothing Was the Same,” following singles “5AM in Toronto” and “Started From the Bottom.”
One track, “No New Friends,” began life as a “Started From the Bottom” remix, and will be released by DJ Khaled with Rick Ross featured. Drake said he’s completing work on the new album but did not give a release date.
