Don Q recruited an all-star mix of MCs for assistance on his mixtape Don Talk earlier this year, including Pusha T on the soulful street ballad “Words of Wisdom.” On Tuesday (May 15), Don returned with the visual accompaniment for “Words of Wisdom,” featuring his collaborator Pusha, as the pair hit up a private poker game and meet up with a few familiar faces.
Don reminisces about his come-up and warns his opposers, “Don’t you ever question my greatness/ Come see the legacy this legend creating/ Testing my patience, your label gon’ have to check for replacements.” He remembers a point in his life where he didn’t have the funds to get his daughter Christmas presents, which led him to “hit the curb and pitch” in order to provide for his family.

In the visual, Don is dressed to the nines while playing poker with a few friends that include fellow New York MCs Dave East and Jay Critch. After Don wraps up his lyrical attack, the camera pans over to another room where Pusha T is rolling dice before he unleashes slick bars about his expensive lifestyle and how he uses street wit to expand his money.
“N—as still making albums using label budgets/ I get it out the streets before the label touch it,” he raps. “Take two years and tell the label fuck it/ My kilos streaming in the streets without a single buzzing.”
