Not long after releasing his Addicted to the Underground mixtape in July, Dom Kennedy followed it up with his Volume Two full-length album on Tuesday. The project is said to be a sequel to his acclaimed Los Angeles Is Not for Sale album, which dropped during the holiday season of 2016.
Previously released singles such as “Best Friend” and “Brenda’s Baby,” on which the West Coast rapper pays homage to the legendary Tupac Shakur‘s 2Pacalypse Now hit, each found their way onto the 16-track effort. Dom also shared the cinematic “Brenda’s Baby” visual to close out September.
The 34-year-old calls on a range of guests to serve up assists on the LP, including his Other People’s Money artist Jay 305, Glasses Malone, Mykestro, Krondon and Ray Wright. Troy Noka and Half-A-Mill running mate Hit-Boy also hopped behind the boards to craft thunderous beats specifically tailored to fit DK’s flow.
