Even though Nas’ album isn’t quite done, that isn’t stopping the veteran MC from dropping new bars. In light of HBO’s Silicon Valley’s season four premiere on Sunday (April 23), DJ Shadow and Nas teamed up for “Systematic,” the lead track off the show’s soundtrack.
Over a funky, old-school themed beat, Nasty Nas unleashes a vicious verse. “I wish I was a arms dealer, sell illegal arms in the hood / No backup check, put cash in my palms and we good / Lack of respect, get you to fall where you stood / Mathematics is God’s language, it’s in my blood,” he raps.
Silicon Valley: The Soundtrack will drop June 16 under Mass Appeal Records. Since his return on DJ Khaled’s “Nas Album Done” in 2016, Nas has teased fans with new releases. Prior to his collaboration on “Systematic,” Nas shared his track “Angel Dust” for The Get Down Soundtrack.
According to DJ Khaled, Nas is also slated to make an appearance on his tenth album Grateful.
