DJ Khaled has another fine reason to be grateful: Rihanna.
The Miami artist and producer, who went to No. 1 around the globe with “I’m the One,” has secured RiRi’s services for his upcoming 10 full-length album release, Grateful.
Khaled couldn’t resist sharing news of his jackpot. “They said Khaled can’t get @badgalriri’s vocals… @badgalriri’s vocals is in,” he boasted on an Instagram post. It’s confirmation of what we already knew. Khaled told listeners of Los Angeles’s Power 106 last month he’d get Rihanna onboard with his star-studded project. “They saying you can’t get Rihanna?” asked The Cruz Show’s host. “Be ready!” shouted Khaled. He wasn’t kidding.
Khaled has been bragging about his starry Grateful guest lineup for some months now. He’s got a point. The likes of Drake, Nicki Minaj, Future and Nas are expected to appear, and you can bank on credits from Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne (they appear on “I’m the One”).
The release date for Grateful will come soon. “Real soon,” Khaled says.
