“I reunited with L.A. Reid. You know he’s the first person to give me an executive position, besides my own label, as president of Def Jam South. He always believed in me and gave me my first label deal almost 10 years ago,” the music veteran said about his new deal. “This is the first time that DJ Khaled and We the Best has been a free agent in 10 years. I’ve been through so many situations and I’m independent and I don’t talk about these things because I’m self-made. I just do my thing and I always win.”
