DJ Khaled continued to bless up on the late-night TV circuit after paying Jimmy Kimmel another visit to share the cover for his upcoming album Major Key, which features the We the Best CEO sitting on a throne in a flower-filled garden and a real-life lion (two of his favorite things).
10 Keys to Success From DJ Khaled’s Snapchat
“The album cover is 100 percent … authentic of what I represent, from my spiritual vibes to my beliefs and not just that, a certain energy that I keep around me — positivity but at the same time, as a king,” explains Khaled.
After roaring applause for his cover, Khaled said that an insurance guy tried to vote against the real-life lion for the album cover, to which he responded, “Don’t ever play yourself. My fans want to see the real deal.”
He also discussed how he plans to Snapchat his son’s birth. “I’m having a boy — my first child,” said the beaming first-time dad. “I want to Snapchat the whole birth.” When prompted about his fiancee’s thoughts on the matter, Khaled offered, “The key is that I’m the king and every queen should support the king.” He notes that he’s also been playing Bob Marley and Jay Z for his child while putting photos of Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali in the baby room he’s building.
