In 2017, DJ Khaled has trounced the competition with his bountiful supply of hits. As “Wild Thoughts” continues its torrid run — it currently sits No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 — DJ Khaled’s 10th album, Grateful, is now officially platinum.
On Wednesday (Aug. 23), Khaled celebrated his latest feat on Instagram with a lengthy post, in which he thanked his fans. “FAN LUV WE DID IT !!! #DJKHALED #GRATEFUL ALBUM OFFICIALLY PLATINUM!!!!! @wethebestmusic!!!! @rocnation!!! @epicrecords !! _ FAN LUV THANK YOU SO MUCH NO WORDS CAN EXPLAIN HOW GRATEFUL I AM!! 3 #1 singles off one album and now the ALBUM PLATINUM WOW!!! FAN LUV WE ARE MAKING MORE HISTORY !!! NOTICE HOW I SAID MORE !!!! FAN LUV I LOVE YOU,” he wrote.
Khaled’s day was even more eventful as his son, Asahd, also turned 10 months old. “MY SON WAS BORN ON oct #23 my album #GRATEFUL came out June #23. Now my ALBUM IS PLATINUM ON AUGUST #23 and And my son turns 10 months today!! And the the album has #23 tracks and I got my own @jumpman23 safe to say #23 is special,” the superstar producer said on Instagram.
For Khaled, Grateful spawned a bevy of quality singles including his luminous record “Shining” featuring JAY-Z and Beyonce and his star-studded track “I’m the One” featuring Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber and Quavo.
