Pusha T unleashed his latest studio album, Daytona, on Friday (May 25) to critical and fan acclaim alike. Diddy must’ve made his way to join Kanye West at his creative retreat in Wyoming, where he’s currently holed up putting the finishing touches on the next four albums slated to release as part of G.O.O.D. Music’s June domination. During his stay, Puffy penned a handwritten letter with high praise of King Push’s new LP.
“A Modern Day Masterpiece. A Flawless Hip Hop Gem. Classic But Current. In Realtime! A TRUE Classic! #Daytona The Album #KingPush,” Diddy wrote, which was later reposted to social media by Pusha T and Yeezy on Friday. “A letter from one of my idols,” the Virginia-bred MC captioned.
Earlier in the week, Def Jam Head of A&R, Steven Victor, posted a screenshot of a text message from producer Mike Dean, who shared Nas‘ thoughts on Daytona after Escobar heard the finished product in Wyoming. “Classic album. Nas said so,” he wrote.
