Desiigner has kept a relatively low profile since bursting onto the scene in 2016, after assisting on Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo and releasing his own viral smash “Panda,” which took home best rap song at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. The Brooklyn native took to social media to provide some clarity of when to expect some new music, including his long-awaited major label debut.
In April, the energetic “Outlet” artist tweeted that Life of Desiigner would in fact drop this past July. The summer came and went, with fans still wondering when they would be getting their hands on the fresh LP. To add to the confusion, the “Timmy Turner” rapper tweeted out Sunday (Nov. 5) that he will soon be dropping two albums — which we can infer will include both his debut album, and the New English 2 follow-up project he’s said to have been working on.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram with a message for the haters in front of his new Los Angeles mansion. “For all them haters out there man. I don’t wanna hear all this shit, ‘Desiigner fell off.’ Desiigner never fell nowhere. You feel what I’m saying? I fell into a motherfuckin’ mansion I just bought in L.A., you know what I’m saying? Thank you all my fans, L.O.D. album coming soon, you dig?”
Working through an unorthodox release schedule, will the future of the G.O.O.D Music artist live up to his 2016 success?
