Desiigner dropped his highly anticipated single “Tiimmy Turner” on Thursday (July 21) from his debut mixtape New English.
Fans first heard a taste of “Tiimmy Turner” in the rapper’s 2016 XXL Freshman freestyle, which has gained more than 7 million views and left listeners wanting more.

The single’s title, “Tiimmy Turner,” is reportedly in reference to the character Timmy Turner from the Nickelodeon animated series Fairly OddParents. Desiigner teased fans on Twitter prior to the release, asking, “WHO REALLY WANTS TIIMMY TURNER TO DROP?”

The hip-hop world watched 19-year-old Desiigner rise to the top with his No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Panda” earlier this year, anxiously awaiting what would come next. The rapper followed with his debut mixtape, New English, which was released June 26. Desiigner was inducted into XXL’s ninth Freshman Class of 2016 along with Lil Yachty, Anderson.Paak and Lil Dicky.
