Dej Loaf becomes a personal cheerleader in the new visual for “Goals,” the first installment of three music videos from the Detroit rapper rolling out exclusively on Billboard today (June 15).
“‘Goals’ was written for anyone who has a dream! A song where I express how to go about life in some situations,” she tells Billboard. Here, Dej runs through a list of pointers like valuing your team, hushing outside opinions and even warns about men who “think with their ding dong.”
Rocking an all-white ensemble against a white backdrop and a grand white piano, Dej says she wanted to pay attention to her bars. “White is pure. White is clean. White makes you pay attention,” she explains. “Honestly I wanted the people keep focused on the lyrics.”
Watch Dej Loaf boss up in the visual for “Goals” below. Stay tuned for her next two visuals dropping later today on Billboard and get a behind-the-scenes look at her music video here.
