Chris Brown rarely keeps his artistic side secret. Often seen painting or sketching on Instagram, Breezy’s love of animated work has now seeped into his musical endeavors as the artwork for his funky jam “Zero” recently drew comparisons to a Japanese manga series called City Hunter.
According to Kotaku, Twitter user Gregoire Hellot pointed out the similarity between Brown’s “Zero” cover art and the popular manga, which ran from 1985 to 1991. It even inspired a Jackie Chan-starring film in 1993.

City Hunter’s main protagonist, Ryo, is said to be a private detective whose interests involved women, a theme that often pervades Breezy’s catalog. On the dance-pop track in question, CB sings about a woman who didn’t reciprocate his efforts.
“Ask how many nights I’ve been thinking of you, zero,” he croons on “Zero,” which will appear on Brown’s forthcoming effort, Royalty, due Nov. 27.
