On the morning of Oct. 13 — the same day someone first contracted the Ebola virus inside the United States — Brown tweeted the following theory:
I don’t know … But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control. Shit is getting crazy bruh.

After getting deservedly inundated with outraged and mocking responses, he doubled back:

Brian Curtis, an anchor/reporter for NBC5 in Dallas-Fort Worth, reported on Oct. 8 that Brown’s mother had reached out on the family’s behalf to the family of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to die of Ebola in the U.S.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 4,000 people have died during the current West African Ebola outbreak.
