Donald Glover debuted a new look at a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles Thursday night (Feb. 7), stepping out with a bushy blonde beard — and people on social media are having a ball with it.
Glover, who performs under the stage name Childish Gambino, sported his new yellowish-orange facial hair during a mixer hosted by composer Ludwig Göransson. Glover was all smiles at the party, posing alongside his brother, Atlanta writer Stephen Glover, and Göransson.

Glover is nominated for song of the year at this year’s Grammys for “This Is America,” which he wrote and produced with Göransson.
The actor and rapper’s new bleached beard certainly left an impression on fans on social media, who compared it to everything from Kanye West’s blonde hair to a vintage G.I. Joe action figure.
“Something tells me Kanye West is gonna start tweeting about this sooner or later, & gonna be ranting about how Childish Gambino has the right to bleach his beard,” one Twitter user joked.
