Hostess, the makers behind Twinkies and other cake treats, received a special mention from Chance the Rapper via Twitter on Monday (June 26), but probably not the kind of was looking for.
Chance called out Hostess over a tweet from last week, where the snack company put a Chance-like hat on top of a box of its apple streusel coffee cakes and asked, “How good is Chance the Snacker? I’d say comparable to Apple Streusel Coffee Cakes.?”
Chance’s response came Monday, asking not for some of those coffee cakes but for money.
“GIVE ME MY COIN,” he wrote to the brand.
Understandably, Hostess has since deleted its original post but, as Complex points out, the internet is having a field day making memes out of the rapper’s rebuke.
