Cardi B made her return to Instagram on Sunday (May 20) to provide a sneak peek of her forthcoming “Be Careful” visual. Hours later, Cardi unleashed the Jora Frantzis-directed video on Monday (May 21). The clip serves as the Bronx native’s third visual depiction from her acclaimed debut album, Invasion of Privacy.
The Western-themed video is oozing with Kill Bill vibes. The opening scene finds the 25-year-old marrying a man in the desert (who isn’t played by Offset); things take a dark turn when the “Bodak Yellow” rapper later reappears donning an all-black outfit and red-dyed hair for her hubby’s funeral where he’s laid to rest.
“I hope y’all enjoy it. It was one of the hardest videos I ever did because it was in the desert, like the middle of nowhere, and bitch I was so hot. I never sweat and I was sweating that day,” Cardi shared on Instagram while walking the streets Sunday night (May 20).
Even as she moves along her pregnancy journey, the work doesn’t stop for the Atlantic Records rapper. Last week (May 17), the Grammy-nominated artist connected with her hometown hero, Jennifer Lopez, along with DJ Khaled for J-Lo’s newest single “Dinero.”
