Cardi B took to Instagram early Wednesday morning (Dec. 5) to announce her split from husband Offset (who makes up one third of the hip-hop trio Migos). Although she says the two are no longer together, they do apparently remain “really good friends and really good business partners.”
Sure, the future of their musical partnership may be unknown, but Cardi and Offset have already produced four solid collabs together, and hopefully the trend continues.
Here’s a list of all the songs Cardi and Offset have collaborated on thus far.
1. Cardi B, ”Lick (feat. Offset)
Cardi and Offset first teamed up for “Lick,” appearing on Cardi’s Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2 album, in January 2017. The track came several months prior to their Sept. 20 wedding, and has the couple skirting around rap verses about scoring success. It was later accompanied by a music video of the pair scheming together at a casino.
2. Migos, ”MotorSport”
The R&B world next saw Cardi and Offset join together for the Migos track, “MotorSport,” which debuted on Oct. 27, 2017. Nicki Minaj also got in on the jam, joining Cardi in calling out their competition (prior to getting tangled in feuds of their own), while Offset and his fellow group members (Quavo and Takeoff) brag about their profits. It was later accompanied by a glossy, futuristic race car-filled music video.
3. Cardi B, “Drip (feat. Migos)”
Cardi dropped her debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy, in April — and with it came the release of “Drip” featuring Migos. The members of the hip-hop group and Cardi all scored co-writing credits on the track, which has the leading couple continually repeating the catchy “came through drippin’” refrain together. Once again, the song sees Cardi and Offset proudly flaunting their success and out-doing all the haters.
4. Lil Yachty, “Who Want The Smoke? (feat. Cardi B & Offset)”
The couple’s final collab comes on Lil Yachty’s summer-released “Who Want The Smoke?” debuted ahead of his Nuthin’ 2 Prove album. While Yachty raps with Cardi for the first time on the 3:18 track, the hip-hop artist had previously worked with Offset many times when it released. Calling herself “the king of New York,” Cardi and company continue to rise to the top. Although this one was the last for the hip-hop couple as a couple, who knows? Anything can happen.
