Even after taking home best rap album honors at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Cardi B refuses to take her foot off the gas pedal. The 26-year-old extended her California trip, where she’s been spotted shooting possible new videos with DJ Khaled and Blueface. And earlier in the week, Bardi was feeling spontaneous and randomly stopped by a local Los Angeles tattoo shop to get her lip pierced.
Luis Vega, an artist at the City of Angels Tattoo shop, detailed the encounter with Cardi to TMZ, as he didn’t even recognize the superstar rapper at first. “Guess who came in to the shop today so random @iamcardib to get her bottom lip piercing at @cityofangelstattoos so blessed I had the privilege to meet her at my shop,” he wrote to Instagram, breaking the news.
The Bronx native was only charged $25 for her bottom lip piercing, and she even stuck around to take a few selfies with fans and employees. Thanks to the newfound jolt of publicity, Vega is only going to be charging customers $20 for piercings at his shop through the rest of February, as a sign of appreciation for Cardi.
