Drake is on tour battling Lil Wayne, but that doesn’t mean he can’t break from the mano a mano and bring a guest on stage every now and then. So on Monday night in Holmdel, New Jersey, Drizzy enlisted the help of Vine star Bobby Shmurda to liven up his set.
“You’re my boss, you’re my motherf—in’ idol,” Drake says of Weezy. “But I’m telling you, tonight in Jersey, they came for that new s—!”
He was talking about Shmurda. The 20-year old Jamaican-American rapper then popped on stage for a performance of his breakout banger, “Hot Ni–a.”
Shmurda signed a deal with Epic Records in July 2014 and has an EP/mixtape called Shmurda She Wrote, and an LP for early 2015 in the pipeline. Need a how-to on his trademark Shmoney Dance? Billboard has you covered.
