Blu and Nottz are evolving their musical relationship to the next level by combining their prior collaborative efforts into one treble-heavy album, Gods In The Spirit, Titans In The Flesh. The project, premiering on Billboard today (Apr. 12) features the rapper-producer duo’s Gods In The Spirit and the 2016 Titans In The Flesh EP in a rearranged format to flow in a higher quality manner.
The reissue is loaded with guest appearances from fan favorites such as Homeboy Sandman, Aloe Blacc, Skyzoo, Exile and more. Gods In The Spirit, Titans In The Flesh will also include the previously released single “Yesterday,” which closes out the LP with assist from Sene and Elisa Meri.
Speaking exclusively to Billboard, the West Coast MC detailed his anticipation for the project. “Being some of my greatest material to date and the strongest lyrical follow-up I’ve constructed since Below The Heavens,” Blu says. “I feel more than honored to have both EPs officially commemorated as an LP to stand out among a band of classic full lengths produced by Nottz.”
The Virginia native and beat maestro also chimed in. “With both EPs now combined, it’s a wrap — the Kraken has officially been released with reckless abandon,” Nottz tells Billboard.
