Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB was one of the most pleasant surprises to burst onto the hip-hop scene at the top of 2018. With his scintillating banger “Look Alive” featuring Drake propelling him into the top five of the Billboard Hot 100, JB has everyone marveling at his potential.
This Friday (May 4), listeners will have the opportunity to hear a full new project from the burgeoning star, as he prepares to unleash his upcoming endeavor, Simi.
Simi is expected to be loaded with smoldering production, most notably from Ben Billions and Tay Keith. Though BlocBoy hasn’t liberated the track-list for Simi, it’s safe to say that Drake and 21 Savage will lead the way, as they were both featured on his last two singles, “Look Alive” and “Rover 2.0,” respectively.
Currently, “Look Alive” remains active on the Hot 100, currently residing at the No. 9 spot.
