In a matter of months, Bhad Bhabie went from viral Internet star to budding rapper and with a new record deal with Atlantic Records, she’s not looking to slowing down anytime soon. After dropping off her debut single “These Heaux” in August, Bhabie returned on Thursday (Sept. 21) with a new track “Hi Bich/Whatchu Know” and the accompanying visual, shrugging off the backlash that’s been hurled her way in recent months.
In the visual for “Hi Bich,” she’s seated in a courtroom awaiting her sentence, a reference the recent legal drama that has eclipsed her rise to fame. The general public seated behind Bhabie are there to support the social media star, with one side holding up a sign that reads “We Luv You Bhad Bhabie.” Unfazed by the angry jurors, she waves at the jury and raps, “White J’s, white Porsche/ White wrist, white horse/ Hi, bitch, hi, bitch.”
She’s later executed as the clip fades to black and returns as a saint in a white, lace dress and rides in a white Porche. The video then cuts to the visual for “Whatchu Know” where she brags about spending her checks on foreign cars, a “tiger mink” and jewelry. “Don’t tell me the price, don’t matter to me/ What I spend in a day, you make in a week,” she raps. “They keep going up like a money tree/ Shop in these deals like a money spree.”
Bhabie also reveled at her recent surge in popularity on Twitter late Thursday night when a fan pointed out that her video was performing better than Miley Cyrus‘ record “Week Without You.” “@Bhadbhabie killing Miley Cyrus,” wrote the Twitter user. Bhabie responded with two skull emojis and wrote “Who???”
