Bhad Bhabie — the stage name of Danielle Bregoli, who added the phrase “cash me ousside” to all our vocabularies — is the youngest artist in the running for a Billboard Music Award this year. While she doubts she’ll nab the title of top rap female artist against her peers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, she exudes a positive attitude and a firm stance on who she thinks will win.
“By being nominated, I already won,” Bhad Bhabie told TMZ in a video interview. “I mean, obviously Cardi’s gonna win, but she really deserves it, and I’m just getting started.”
The now-15-year-old became an Internet meme in September 2016 after her misconduct landed her on Dr. Phil, and her iconic catchphrase was born. Since then, she’s rebranded as Bhad Bhabie and released seven singles, the most recent of which being the Lil Yachty-featuring “Gucci Flip Flops.” She’s set to perform at Billboard‘s Hot 100 Fest in August.
“Cardi’s way better than Nicki,” Bhad Bhabie continued. “I don’t care what anyone says. Cardi actually says stuff, Nicki just has attitude. So what? Wow, big deal.”
It also appears a collab between the youngster and her Atlantic labelmate Cardi isn’t entirely out of the question. “You never know.”
Fans will have to tune in to the Billboard Music Awards on May 20 to find out which of the trifecta will be crowned top rap female artist. Watch Bhad Bhabie give her two cents to TMZ below:
