It’s tough being a working mom, but just because Beyoncé is on her global On The Run II tour with hubby JAY-Z doesn’t mean she can’t take time out for important family business. At the couple’s Wednesday night (June 13) show at Etihad Stadium, Bey took a minute out of the show to mark a special occasion: the first birthday of the couple’s twins, Rumi Carter and Sir Carter.
“Happy birthday to Sir and Rumi, We love you!” Bey told the sold-out crowd during the concert’s finale in video captured by fans just before the couple came together for a rendition of Jay’s 2009 single “Young Forever.” As noted by E!, the shout out and the duet came as a video montage of the Carter family’s private moments played during the song, including film of the pair’s vow renewal ceremony.
