It’s been nearly a year since Beyoncé rocked the music world with the surprise-attack release of her self-titled “visual album” with accompanying 17 unique music videos. And to celebrate she’s repackaged the set with bonus material like new tracks “7/11” and “Ring Off” for a “Platinum Edition” release. But that’s not all.

The celebration continues with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her videos “Haunted” and “Superpower” with director Jonas Åkerlund. The clip opens with Åkerlund’s first learning of the singer’s release plans and moves into an explanation of his work and how he approached creating these two clips.

“These two videos are a little unique, because it was less choreography than [Beyoncé] usually does. It’s a little less performance. It’s like a different tone than what she usually does,” he says in the video. “Part of my challenge with her is to take her to places that maybe she hasn’t been. And, maybe take a step out her comfort zone.”
