Following her controversial appearance on the set of MTV’s Wild ‘N’ Out, Azealia Banks is putting her highly anticipated Fantasea II album on hold for the foreseeable future. Banks broke the news on her Instagram story over the weekend, stating she needs some alone time to decompress.
“Album is canceled. I need some time to relax and bounce on dick. I’ll release new music when I feel like it,” Banks brashly penned. The “Anna Wintour” singer followed up with more mind-boggling additions to her Instagram story, which have all since been deleted.
The Harlem native took aim at television host Wendy Williams, who has been critical of her actions in the past, as the victim of her latest verbal assault. “Omg can Wendy Williams have another stroke on TV and finally drop dead? I would love to see her die on air,” Banks wildly wrote.
The “Treasure Island” artist explained that she felt ambushed during her Wild ‘N’ Out cameo, where she said she was only supposed to perform one song instead of being susceptible to criticism during the comedic rap battle. “There were tons of pre-planned colorist jokes and of course … cry baby cried. Some little scrawny black Atlanta twink was prepared for me. They planned this – hit me on short notice,” Azealia penned in a since-deleted Instagram post on Sunday.
