A$AP Rocky has been a hip-hop globetrotter, bringing the turn-up overseas with cuts from his third studio effort, At.Long.Last.A$AP, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in May.
At Hong Kong’s Cockenflap Festival (Nov. 28), Pretty Flacko recently previewed a new track during his headlining set called “Yamborghini High,” a salute to one of the A$AP Mob’s late members, A$AP Yams.
Yams (born Steven Rodriguez) founded the A$AP collective in 2007 alongside A$AP Bari and A$AP Illz, and died this past January after a mixture of drugs was found in his system.
In June, Rocky confirmed the release of a posthumous A$AP Yams album. “Now I’m working on [A$AP] Yams’ album,” he told BBC 1xtra’s Charlie Sloth in an interview. “I’m just picking up where he left off — me and him was gonna do the album together … He was working on a crazy album.”
