Just as he did at his first Red Bull Music Academy lecture in London earlier this year, A$AP Rocky debuted new music during his Q&A last night (May 8) with Ego Trip chief Jeff “Chairman” Mao in Rocky’s native Harlem.
His latest track off his upcoming album A.L.L.A. (At.Long.Last.A$AP) is “Everyday,” which turns Rod Stewart‘s 1972 hit “In A Broken Dream” into a hip-hop banger. Miguel puts his own spin on the classic melody, with Mark Ronson refreshing the production in his trademark 1970-meets-2015 style.
First McCartney, now Stewart — is 2015 the year classic rock takes over hip-hop? Listen to “Everyday” below and decide for yourself:
Rocky also announced that June 2 is the release date for At.Long.Last.A$AP during the Q&A.
