A$AP Ferg recently stopped by the Billboard offices to reflect upon his most memorable Billboard moment: recalling the time his 2017 song “Plain Jane” hit No. 26 on the Hot 100 chart.
“It was exciting because I was having a very, very rough time that year,” Ferg tells Billboard. He notes that when he first dropped the song on SoundCloud, he saw people responding to it the way he thought they would.
What he didn’t expect, however, was that the song would go three times Platinum. “And we hit 26 on Billboard, so it was a very celebratory moment for me and my team,” he remembers. “For sure.”
