Ari Lennox has returned with another steamy visual off her mouthwatering Shea Butter Baby debut album. The Child.-directed clip to “BMO” arrived on Tuesday (Aug. 6), but we’re still waiting for those garbanzo beans to be cooked.
The flick brilliantly captures a vintage aesthetic and features a range of dazzling fabric patterns and contrasting colors to light up the room, while the R&B singer undergoes a series of striking wardrobe and hairstyle changes on set. After talking things over with her love interest on the couch, she gets up and checks on those garbanzo beans one final time to close out the video.
“BMO” (“Break Me Off”) currently sits at No. 34 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart this week, which is a new peak for the Omen-produced record. The D.C. native also stopped by the COLORS studio on Monday (Aug. 5) to deliver a sizzling cover to Shea Butter Baby deep cut “I Been.”
