Kaytranada has been on a remix tear lately, mixing up tracks by everyone from Solange to TLC, Rihanna and Afrika Bambaataa. His latest masterstroke, though, is a brand new song featuring Alicia Keys. The sensual “Sweet F-ing Love” was posted to Soundcloud on Monday night (Jan. 9) by Keys’ husband, fellow producer Swizz Beatz, and it features the Polaris Music Prize winner’s signature chopped-up, chilled-out style.
“I’m talkin’ ’bout sweet, sweet f’in love,” Keys sings in a breathy voice over a minimal beat and loungey piano riff. “You give me that sweet f’in love, la la la la la la la.” With just a brief spoken (whispered, actually) interlude in the middle, the 3:39 song is almost all chorus. But man, what a chorus! A spokesperson for Keys could not be reached for comment at press time about whether the song might get an official release.
