Alicia Keys returned to Saturday Night Live for the third time on May 7, performing two new songs for the sketch comedy show’s Mother’s Day episode.
Keys, who is set to join NBC’s The Voice as a coach this fall, performed her brand new single “In Common” and also played another new track titled “Hallelujah.” The 35-year-old singer’s SNL appearance arrived ahead of her upcoming sixth album, which does not yet have a release date.
For her first song, the mother of two gave a lively performance on her new tropical ballad “In Common,” which was released earlier in the week. Later, she took the audience to church with her religious-themed song “Hallelujah.” Watch the performances below.
Next up on SNL, Drake will serve as host and musical guest on May 14. Former castmember Fred Armisen is set to host the season 41 finale on May 21 with first-time musical guest Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett.
