It’s been five days since 21 Savage was brought in by ICE, and the “Bank Account” rapper’s future still remains in peril. New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a speech Thursday calling for America to cut funding to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and followed that up with a tweet Friday (Feb. 8) denouncing ICE and mentioning their detainment of 21 Savage.
Fox & Friends slammed AOC for her stance on immigration when a murder was recently carried out within her district’s lines by an MS-13 gang member, who was confirmed to be illegally in America by ICE. Their ire prompted Ocasio-Cortez to respond via Twitter.
“Unlike these people, I actually care about my community,” she tweeted. “This happened across [from] my old campaign office. We’ve been monitoring this heartbreaking situation and have been working with the community to heal. Meanwhile, ICE is detaining children, political activists & 21 Savage.”
Earlier in the week, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted out lyrics from 21’s extended verse on “A Lot,” where he takes aim at America’s immigration policies. “The gas was off, so we had to boil up the water/ Been through some things so I can’t imagine my kids stuck at the border/ Flint still need water/ People was innocent, couldn’t get lawyers,” he rapped during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

this is disgusting:
“We have video of him being murdered, in the district of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, after I imagine seeing this horror, is upset that ICE even exists. She cried about it.”
