Some might have first heard of Jamaican-born, Hartford, Conn.-based dancehall artist Alandon from his remix of Rihanna and Drake‘s hit “Work” earlier this year, or his single “1980” from last October. But today, the SmokeStack Recordings artist returns with the visual to his Dougie F-featuring track “Movie,” which finds the two artists living the high life on the beach in Los Angeles.
Produced by Point Blank, the reggae cut opens with an instantly-catch hook from Alandon before New Jersey MC Dougie — who himself has had a big year after touring with Travis Scott and Bryson Tiller and putting out “On Purpose” featuring Pitbull — laces his verse with an East Coast hip-hop flavor. Birhan Tonge directed the Cali visuals, which move from the beaches into Hollywood and the skate parks and streets of the city.
The original recording of “Movie” was released in June, while today’s video release keeps the track’s summer energy going as the winter closes in. Check out the visuals for Alandon and Dougie F’s track below.
