6ix9ine has made a habit of going viral online to keep the spotlight shining on himself. With three records currently dominating the Billboard Hot 100, Tekashi announced in a now-deleted Instagram post that his debut project is scheduled to release next month.
“MY FIRST EVER PROJECT DROPS FEBUARY 23rd,” read the erased caption on Sunday (Jan. 28). “FROM NOW ON COMMENT FEBRUARY 23RD ON EVERY POST IN THE WORLD LET N—AS KNOW THATS WHEN WE GO BRAZYYYY.”
Last week (Jan. 25), the controversial “Gummo” artist claimed on Instagram that he landed a $7.5 million deal with an undisclosed party. Billboard reached out to management for comment.
Meanwhile, the rapper’s “Keke” music video with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Fetty Wap has already garnered over 22 million views on YouTube in just two weeks and debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100.
