21 Savage continued to give back to his community in Decatur, Georgia, Sunday (Aug. 4) with his fourth annual “Issa Back 2 School Drive.”
The event was part of Savage’s Leading By Example Foundation, a nonprofit centered around providing financial literacy to underprivileged youth and encouraging them to open bank accounts through his Bank Account Financial Literacy Campaign.
Savage partnered with New Era and Puma to give away 2,300 backpacks containing uniforms, sneakers and school supplies. The drive also provided free haircuts and health screenings as well as activities for the whole family.
To top the day off, Savage gifted youth employment organization Juma $15,000 to ensure that 150 kids enrolled in the program retain jobs next summer.
Savage first launched his Bank Account Financial Literacy Campaign in March 2018, granting 21 students from his hometown $1,000 to open their own bank accounts.
